San Francisco-based Prosper Marketplace, the parent of Prosper Funding, an online marketplace for consumer credit, has hired Parker Barrile as chief product officer. Previously, Barrile worked at LinkedIn where he served as vice president of product management. Prosper Marketplace’s backers include Institutional Venture Partners, Phenomen Ventures, Sequoia Capital and BlackRock.
SAN FRANCISCO – September 1, 2015 – Prosper Marketplace, which operates a leading online marketplace for consumer credit, today announced the appointment of Parker Barrile as Chief Product Officer. Barrile will be responsible for expanding Prosper Marketplace’s product and user experience teams and managing Prosper Marketplace’s expanding product suite across web and mobile platforms.

Barrile joins Prosper Marketplace from LinkedIn where he was VP of Product Management and led teams for several of the company’s core monetization products including Talent Solutions, Premium Subscriptions, and the Payments Platform. During his five years at LinkedIn, Barrile was instrumental in building consumer and enterprise products that today generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
