Victress Capital has named Madeline Keulen as a vice president. She first joined the women-led early-stage consumer-focused venture firm in January 2018 as an MBA associate.
Boston, MA — August 27, 2019 — Victress Capital, a venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage consumer companies with diverse management teams, today announced that Madeline Keulen has joined the firm as Vice President. In this new role, Madeline will be a key member of the investment team where she will focus on expanding Victress’ sourcing network, leading the firm’s diligence processes, and working closely with portfolio companies to support their needs.
Madeline first joined Victress Capital as an MBA Associate in January 2018, and since then, has developed a strong relationship with the firm’s Managing Partners, Lori Cashman and Suzanne Norris as well as the firm’s portfolio companies.
“Victress was founded with the mission to bring more female founders and funders into the venture capital ecosystem,” said Lori Cashman, Managing Partner. “We could not be more thrilled to welcome Madeline to the investment team as we continue to reimagine the venture capital industry.”
“We have spent time getting to know Madeline over the past two years and are excited to have her join our team full-time,” said Suzanne Norris, Managing Partner. “Madeline’s natural curiosity about consumer markets, passion for helping entrepreneurs and drive to succeed make her a strong addition to our team.”
Madeline recently graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School (HBS) where she was very active in the venture ecosystem, serving as a Rock Venture Partner and leading the Venture Capital arm for the HBS Women in Investing club. Prior to HBS, Madeline served as a Venture Fellow at G51 and was a consultant at Oliver Wyman (OW), where she advised some of the world’s largest firms on growth strategy, operations, and post-merger integration.
“While all the data shows companies with gender diverse teams outperform their peers, the reality is that we still have a massive funding gap when it comes to women-led teams and venture capital. Victress’ investment strategy is one that I believe is critical to creating change in the industry and I look forward to being a part of that change alongside Suzanne and Lori.”
