Vista Ventures’ Hogan to Polyteda’s Board as Chairman

Polyteda Software Corp., the provider of technology for addressing the physical verification needs of deep sub-wavelength processes, will add Vista Ventures managing partner Jim Hogan to its board as Chairman. Hogan’s experience includes work at Telos Venture Partners, Artisan Components and National Semiconductor and other tech companies.

Industry expert, independent venture capitalist brings 35 years experience to board
SANTA CLARA, Calif.- POLYTEDA® Software Corp., provider of the most advanced technology for addressing the physical verification needs of deep sub-wavelength processes, today announced the appointment of Jim Hogan to their Board of Directors. Hogan, who will serve as chairman, has worked in the semiconductor design and manufacturing industry for more than 35 years as a senior executive in electronic design automation, semiconductor intellectual property, semiconductor equipment, and fabrication companies.

Hogan is the managing partner of Vista Ventures, LLC; was a general partner at Telos Venture Partners and senior vice president of business development at Artisan Components Inc. (now part of ARM Holdings PLC.) He held senior engineering, marketing and operational management positions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc.; National Semiconductor Corporation; and Phillips Semiconductor. At Cadence, Hogan was an executive fellow, president of Cadence Japan, corporate vice president of marketing, and corporate vice president for field operations. At National Semiconductor and Philips, he established device physics laboratories globally. He was also chief operating officer of Smart Machines, Inc., a semiconductor equipment automation company.
Hogan holds a B.A in mathematics, a B.Sc. in computer science, and an M.B.A, all from San Jose State University. He served on several boards including the board of advisors at San Jose State’s School of Engineering and on the boards of directors of several private companies: Altos (acquired by Cadence in May 2011), AutoESL (acquired by Xilinx in February 2011), Scoperta, Tela Innovations, and Shocking Technologies. He also serves as a strategic advisor to several public technology companies.
