Vortus hires former TPG executive as CFO

Vortus Investments Advisors have hired Frank Lamsens as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer and Porter Pursley as a senior associate on the investment team. Lamsens joins Vortus from TPG, where he worked most recently as controller of new business platforms. Pursley, prior to Vortus, worked as a senior research associate at Raymond James & Associates.

Vortus Investments Advisors (“Vortus” or the “Firm”) announced today that Frank Lamsens and Porter Pursley have joined the Firm. Mr. Lamsens is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, and Mr. Pursley is a Senior Associate on the investment team.

Mr. Lamsens has over nine years of corporate finance, accounting and operations experience. Prior to joining Vortus, he worked for TPG (formally known as Texas Pacific Group), a leading global private investment firm with over $59 billion of assets under management. In his most recent role as Controller of New Business Platforms, Mr. Lamsens partnered with TPG’s emerging alternative asset teams in coordinating their integration and ongoing financial and operational support. Prior to joining TPG in 2010, he was a Manager at KPMG in the audit group in Chicago.

Prior to joining Vortus, Mr. Pursley was a senior research associate at Raymond James & Associates. As a member of the Exploration and Production (“E&P”) team he was responsible for covering mid-cap to large-cap independent E&P companies. Additionally, he has an extensive knowledge of the macro commodity environment. Mr. Pursley began his career as an analyst with Houlihan Lokey in Dallas, Texas.
