Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired Damian Ridealgh as a partner in the global finance practice based in New York. Ridealgh will focus on the financing needs of the firm’s practice equity and corporate clients. Prior to joining Weil, Gotshal, Ridealgh worked at Ashurst where he was a partner and led the firm’s U.S. banking practice.
International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Damian Ridealgh has joined the Firm as a partner in the Global Finance Practice, based in the New York office. He is the fourth partner to join Weil’s Global Finance Practice since late 2013 and focuses primarily on the financing needs of the Firm’s private equity and corporate clients.
“Damian will be a fantastic addition to the Firm,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “He will enhance our leading Global Finance Practice, which routinely handles a high volume of the most complex private equity and M&A transactions.”

Mr. Ridealgh, 40, focuses on advising private equity and corporate clients, financial institutions and hedge funds in complex U.S. and European financings covering acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, fund financing, real estate financing and asset-based loans. He is qualified as an English solicitor and worked in London until 2003, when he moved to New York. Mr. Ridealgh joins the Firm from Ashurst LLP where he was a partner and led Ashurst’s U.S. banking practice. He was previously a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
