Wing Venture Capital, the leading early stage venture capital firm focused on technology for business, today announced that Jake Flomenberg has joined the firm as a partner. Jake comes to Wing from Accel Partners, where he has worked as an investor and partner since 2012.
Jake adds to Wing’s already considerable depth. At Accel, he led investments in category-defining companies such as Sumo Logic and Demisto. Previously Jake worked in product management at Cloudera and Splunk. At Wing, Jake will continue his focus on the most exciting business technology sectors, including data analytics, cybersecurity and AI-powered applications.

“Jake has that rare combination of insight, curiosity, experience and ability to forge deep partnerships with exceptional founders,” said Peter Wagner, Founding Partner at Wing. “We have found that these are essentials for venture investors aspiring to help build companies of enduring value and are thrilled to welcome Jake to Wing.”

With Jake’s addition, Wing continues to extend its lead as the best-of-breed early stage venture firm focused on technology for business. “Wing pursues a distinctive strategy by engaging early but committing for the long term,” said Gaurav Garg, Founding Partner at Wing. “We invest before its obvious, always with the ambition of building companies that matter.”

The Wing strategy is already bearing fruit in high-growth companies such as Cohesity, Shape Security and Snowflake Computing. Wing has been an investor and active partner to each of these companies since their earliest days. The firm is currently investing its second fund, the $300 million Wing Two.
