Yar-Ping Soo has joined Adams Street Partners as a partner on its investment team. Yar-Ping was previously with GIC Special Investments, the private equity division of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Yar-Ping will be based in Singapore and focus on fund investments and co-investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
Adams Street Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Yar-Ping Soo as a Partner on the
Investment Team. Yar-Ping joins us from GIC Special Investments (“GICSI”), the private equity division
of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. She spent more than a decade with GICSI
working in their New York, Redwood City and Singapore offices. Most recently, as the Head of
Asia/Emerging Markets, Yar-Ping oversaw GICSI’s investments in private equity funds and coinvestments.
She also represented GICSI on numerous fund advisory committees and boards of
Yar-Ping will be based in our Singapore office where she will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s
investment activities with a focus on fund investments and co-investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
Yar-Ping earned her M.B.A. at the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley and
graduated from the University of Melbourne.
Adams Street Partners made its first Asian investment in 2003, established its Singapore office in 2006
and is planning to open its second Asian office in Beijing in 2011.
