Valet Anywhere rides away with $1.35 mln seed

New York City-based valet parking app Valet Anywhere has closed $1.35 million in seed funding. The backers included CyberAgent Ventures, AngelPad, Urban.US and angels from AngelList.

New York, NY — February 4, 2015 — Today, Valet Anywhere, the on-demand parking service that allows car owners to request a valet via their mobile phone, announces that it has raised $1.35 million in seed funding from investors such as CyberAgent Ventures, AngelPad, Urban.US and prominent angels from AngelList. In addition, the company officially launches a monthly parking service and its expansion to Brooklyn. The company officially introduced its on-demand service just 3 months ago and has already parked nearly 2000 cars and figured out the algorithm for disrupting the transportation space in New York City: a cost-effective parking service that returns freedom and opportunity to the driver.

With the launch of its monthly parking service, called Valet Anywhere Long Term, car owners can now have their car stored in a secure garage with 10 in-and-out drop-offs and have access to additional services such as free NY State car inspection, fuel top up, car washing and more. The new monthly services will also extend to Park Slope and Downtown Brooklyn and offer a more efficient alternative to traveling into the city.

“We built Valet Anywhere to save people time and free them from the hassle of parking. With our new Long Term monthly service for Manhattan and Brooklyn residents, our commitment to helping drivers thrive within urban cities couldn’t be stronger. We’re providing free car inspections, convenient gas top-up, car washes, and more, so drivers have more time to do what matters. With Valet Anywhere, owning and driving a car in cities is fun again,” says Robert Kao, CEO and Co-Founder of Valet Anywhere.

To use the Valet Anywhere’s Long Term monthly service on iOS or Android, a customer simply enters a home address and picks a time for car pickup, then a fully-vetted and experienced valet will arrive to park the user’s car in one of Valet Anywhere’s many secure garage locations. When ready, the customer can request car return by notify a valet using the app and the customer will be back on the road and in the comfort of his or her own vehicle in minutes. With Valet Long Term, customers in Manhattan and Brooklyn can now enjoy the luxury of driving their car on the weekends without the added headache of finding reliable parking during the week, by storing their car in Valet Anywhere’s secure indoor garages. Pricing for the service starts at $249, and right now Valet Anywhere has a “Gift a month, get a month” referral program. Valet Anywhere’s on-demand service operates in midtown only, with pricing starting at $6 an hour.

“From New York City to Tokyo, the parking experience for drivers hasn’t changed for many years, but Valet Anywhere has now turned that experience on its head. With Valet Anywhere’s Long Term monthly parking, it is a great business model and I am excited to see add-on services to further increase ARPU and margins” says Daisuke Minamide, Head of USA office for CyberAgent Ventures.

Valet Anywhere is currently available for download in the Apple store and Google Play.
