Sofina SA, a Belgian family-run investment company, agreed to acquire a minority stake in the Boston investment firm Cambridge Associates. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Sofina is a longtime client of Cambridge Associates.

Broadhaven Capital Partners LLC was financial adviser to Cambridge Associates on the transaction.

The current owners of Cambridge Associates, which was formed in 1973, include the Hall and Rothschild families. All will continue to hold minority positions in the company after the Sofina deal closes.
