Mexican restaurant chain Real Mex Restaurants has named Bryan Lockwood as CEO. The appointment is effective immediately. Previously, Lockwood worked at Tavistock Restaurants where he served as CEO and President. Real Mex is a portfolio company of Z Capital Partners LLC and Tennenbaum Capital Partners LLC.
NTS Communications Inc, which is backed by Tower Three Partners, has named Cyrus Driver as CEO and a member of the company's board of directors. Prior to joining NTS, Driver worked at Time Warner Cable's Business Class where he was a vice president. NTS is a provider of high-speed broadband services.
(Reuters) - Partner in Pet Food (PPF), a European pet food maker, has been put up for sale by private equity firm Advent International, sources told Reuters.
Sabre Industries, a portfolio company of Kohlberg & Company LLC, has bought FWT from Satori Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. Houlihan Lokey was financial advisor to FWT on the transaction. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, FWT is a maker of steel structures for the electricity transmission and distribution sector.
Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC has made an undisclosed investment in North American Rescue LLC. Renaissance Strategic Advisors and Holland & Knight advised Blue Wolf on the transaction. In addition to the investment, Michael Ranson, Vic Caruso and Aakash Patel of Blue Wolf have been appointed to Blue Wolf's board of directors. Based in Greenville, South Carolina, NAR is a provider of medical products for the military, law enforcement and EMS first responder markets.
Healthcare-focused private equity firm BelHealth Investment Partners has promoted Nathan Kronforst to managing director and named Jonathan Spero as an associate. Prior to joining BelHealth, Kronforst worked at Celerant Capital where he served as vice president while Spero worked at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey where he was an analyst in the healthcare investment banking division.
Macquarie CAF Lending and Golub Capital have provided a $250 million facility to support a dividend recap of NetSmart Technologies, said a source at the Macquarie Group. NetSmart Technlogies, which is backed by Genstar Capital, is a provider of electronic medical records for the behavioral health sector.
Environmental solutions provider Newalta has closed the sale of its industrial division to Birch Hill Equity Partners for $300 million. The industrial division unit is now a stand-alone entity, operating under the name of Terrapure Environmental. Also, Todd Moser, a former senior vice president at Newalta, has been named president and CEO of Terrapure.
Cressey & Company LP has acquired a majority stake in Dental Services Group, a dental lab network. No financial terms were disclosed. Ropes & Gray LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers advised Cressey & Co on the transaction.
