Bain and Caisse-Backed BRP Files IPO Prospectus

Valcourt, Québec-based Bombardier Recreational Products Inc., a portfolio company of Bain Capital and the private equity group of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, has filed a preliminary prospectus with Canadian regulatory authorities for a proposed initial public offering of subordinate voting shares. BRP, which develops, manufactures and distributes power-sports vehicles, such as Ski-Doos and Sea-Doos, was acquired by Bain, the Caisse and members of the Bombardier family for C$960 million in 2003.

BRP Inc. files a preliminary prospectus for its initial public offering

VALCOURT, QC, April 17, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ – BRP Inc. (“BRP” or the “Company”) filed today a preliminary prospectus with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada in connection with a proposed initial public offering of its subordinate voting shares. A copy of the preliminary prospectus will be available on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).

The offering is being made through a syndicate of underwriters led by BMO Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets, UBS Securities Canada Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Canada Inc.
