Joe Baratta, global head of private equity for Blackstone, will be joining the investment firm’s board of directors.
Baratta joined Blackstone in 1998. In 2001 he moved to London as Blackstone was setting up its corporate private equity business in Europe. In 2012, he returned to New York and became Blackstone’s global head of private equity.
Baratta is a member of Georgetown University’s board of trustees. Also, he is a trustee of the Tate Foundation and sits on the board of Year Up, an organization focused on youth employment.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University.
Currently, Blackstone has $571 billion in assets under management.
