Los Angeles-based investment firm Colony Capital has named Severin White as managing director and head of public investor relations. His appointment is effective immediately.
As head of public investor relations, White will manage and cultivate relationships with the investment community, oversee Colony Capital’s financial communications and shareholder outreach, and act as a liaison between the management team, board of directors and the firm’s ownership base.
White was the founder of Niagara Share where he served as a managing member. Prior to that, White worked at New Vernon Capital and subsequently Columbia Pacific Advisors. Earlier in his career, White was senior vice president of business development at Smithsonian Business Ventures where he spearheaded the negotiation and structuring of the Smithsonian Channel, a joint venture television network between the Smithsonian Institution and CBS/Showtime.
