Czech web portals Centrum.cz and Atlas.cz will merge under Czech Internet firm NetCentrum, which is majority-owned by US private equity group Warburg Pincus, NetCentrum said in a release confirming recent media reports.
In December, Warburg Pincus acquired NetCentrum, which runs Centrum.cz, the country's second-largest portal, while media have recently reported that the US group was negotiating to buy Atlas.cz from its majority owner Epic Holding.
Financial details of deal were not released.
