H.I.G. taps Liau to co-lead infrastructure team

Before joining H.I.G., he was a senior managing director in Ardian's infrastructure group.

H.I.G. Capital has hired Andrew Liau to co-lead its infrastructure team alongside Ed Pallesen. Liau will be based in London while Pallesen will continue to be based in New York with a primary focus on the Americas.

Liau has over 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Before joining H.I.G., he was a senior managing director in Ardian’s infrastructure group. And, prior to that, he was a founding member of First State Investments’ European infrastructure team. Liau began his career at RBC where he worked on infrastructure financings.

H.I.G.’s infrastructure investments are focused on the middle market. Based in Miami, H.I.G. is currently managing $40 billion of equity capital, according to the private equity and alternative assets investment firm.
