Christopher J. Hagan has joined Brown Rudnick as a partner in the firm’s Washington DC office. Hagan, who has experience in PE law, M&A and growth equity financings, was previously a partner at Goodwin Procter.
Brown Rudnick, an AmLaw 200 firm with offices in the US and Europe, today announced that Christopher J. Hagan has joined the Firm’s Washington DC office as a Partner in the Corporate Department. In recent months, Brown Rudnick has added four partners and six associates to its rapidly growing corporate practice, particularly in areas such as M&A and fund formation, which are critical to building on the Firm’s core strength in servicing hedge, venture and private equity fund clients and their portfolio companies.
Chris brings over 20 years of experience in the areas of private equity law, mergers and acquisitions, growth equity financings and general corporate law. Working with public and private sector clients, Chris represents private equity investment funds, hedge funds, family offices, fundless sponsors and institutional investors. He also works with a number of portfolio companies of private equity funds in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity financings and joint ventures and recapitalizations.
Chris has represented private equity investors or their portfolio companies in over 100 leveraged buyouts and buildups, divestitures, recapitalizations or restructurings. He has also advised buyers or sellers in over 300 mergers and acquisitions (primarily for portfolio companies of private equity funds), and has been involved in over 50 co-investment transactions in leveraged buyouts or growth equity investments. His vast experience also includes venture capital and mezzanine financings and private placements.
