Cerberus Capital Management: Cerberus Business Finance, the direct lending affiliate, hired Andrew Woolford as a managing director for its New York office. Woolford most recently served as head of leveraged loan sales at Jefferies LLC.
Comvest Partners: Comvest Capital, the direct lending group, named Tom Goila a managing director. Goila previously worked at Goldman Sachs’s specialty lending group.
Constitution Capital: Steven Shekane and Jonathan Williams joined the credit team. Shekane is joining as a managing director; he is a founding member of Morgan Stanley Credit Partners. Williams was previously with Silicon Valley Bank.
Crescent Capital Group hired Kenneth McRay and Glynell Bradley as senior vice presidents in investor relations. McRay previously was a senior vice president in institutional sales and marketing at Pinebridge Investments. Bradley is former vice president of U.S. institutional sales-consultant relations at Goldman Sachs.
Hamilton Lane named Lydia A. Gavalis general counsel and Frederick W. Shaw chief compliance officer. Robert Cleveland, who had been the firm’s general counsel for more than 16 years, is retiring. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Gavalis worked at SEI while Shaw was chief compliance officer at Natsource.
H.I.G. Capital: Andrew Freeman joined the H.I.G. Middle Market affiliate as a managing director. Freeman is a former partner at Paine & Partners.
Maranon Capital hired Kyle Smith and Brian Pearl as portfolio analysts. Smith previously was a commercial credit analyst at MB Financial Bank while Pearl was an assurance associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
O2 Investment Partners named Joe Vallee an associate. Vallee is co-founder and former president of Provision Insurance Group.
Pacific Investment Management hired Gregory Hall as a managing director and head of private strategies. Hall most recently was a senior managing director at Blackstone Group.
Shore Capital Group named Simon Fine and David Kaye joint chief executives. Founder Howard Shore is stepping down as group CEO. He will remain executive chairman and will focus on international investment strategy.
Silverfleet Capital appointed Karl Eidem co-head of the Nordic region. Eidem previously was an investment director at Swedish national pension fund AP6.
Tengram Capital Partners hired Brian Cooper as a principal. Cooper previously worked at Atlantic Street Capital.
Twin Bridge Capital: Matt Klinger joined the firm as a principal. He was previously a senior vice president at iCapital Network.
Morsco, an Advent International portfolio company, promoted Mike Swedick to president of the plumbing division.
PCX Aerostructures, a provider of assemblies for rotorcraft and fixed-wing aerospace platforms, appointed Jeff Frisby president and CEO. Frisby succeeds Alan Haase, who stepped down. Frisby has been on PCX’s board since February 2016 and recently served as executive chairman. The company’s backers include RFE Investment Partners and 24/6 Capital Partners.
Reliant Rehabilitation, backed by DW Healthcare Partners, hired Chris Bird as CEO. Bird previously was chief operating officer at FastMed Urgent Care.
Safariland Group, the Jacksonville, Florida, provider of safety and survivability products for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets, hired Brad E. Williams as chief operating officer. Williams previously was president of the material-processing-technologies group at IDEX Corp. Safariland is a portfolio company of Kanders & Co.
Arlington Capital Advisors named William R. Kraus a managing director. Kraus previously was a managing director at Antares Capital.
Baker Tilly Virchow Krause: The accounting and advisory firm’s Baker Tilly Capital subsidiary hired Troy Nehring for its EB-5 services practice. Nehring is based in Seattle.
Enclara Pharmacia: Stephen C. Phenneger joined as chief financial officer. Phenneger is a former operating partner at Cressey & Co. Enclara is a provider of pharmacy-management services for the hospice market.
EY named Paul Reading executive director within the private equity sector of its operational-transactions-services team. Reading previously was chief financial officer at Antler.
iCapital Network, the New York fintech platform focused on providing alternative-investment solutions, named Thomas Fortin managing partner and chief operating officer. Fortin previously was head of retail technology in BlackRock’s solutions group.
Institutional Limited Partners Association, a member organization for private equity limited partners, named Chris Hayes director of industry affairs. Hayes previously was general counsel of the Small Business Investor Alliance.
LMCG Investments named Melanie Karlberg as managing director of national accounts. She had been a partner at Tenaz Consulting.
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group: The global asset servicing arm, MUFG Investor Services, named Joe Latini executive director of relationship management. Latini previously was a director of U.S. sales at ENSO Financial Analytics.
Orrick: The law firm hired Gabriel Monzon-Cortarelli as a partner for its Milan M&A and PE practice. Monzon-Cortarelli previously led the Italian desk at Seyfarth Shaw.
PEF Services, a fund administrator for alternative investment managers, named Richard Del Bello director of business development. Del Bello previously worked at Conifer Financial Services and Goldman Sachs.
Shearman & Sterling: The law firm hired Brien Wassner as an M&A partner. Wassner had been a corporate partner at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
Vencerx Therapeutics, focused on advancing treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders, appointed Dr. Robert H. Ring CEO and Jeffrey Stevenson chairman. Stevenson is managing partner of VSS while Ring is former CEO of Autism Speaks.
California Public Employees’ Retirement System named Clinton L. Stevenson investment director of the Investment Management Engagement Programs. Stevenson has more than 35 years in the investment industry including 30 years at the Ford Foundation, CalPERS said.
Baceline Investments promoted six staffers to partner: Brian Capstick, Sheri Corral, Todd Laurie, Ari Michaeli, Lindsey Reevie and Jonathan Ruby.
Cotton Creek Capital: The Austin private equity firm promoted Christopher Weems and Alan Goldstein to senior associate. Weems and Goldstein joined the firm in 2014.
H.I.G. Capital promoted Sanjoy Chattopadhyay to managing director of H.I.G. Realty, the firm’s real estate investment affiliate. Chattopadhyay joined H.I.G. in 2013 and is based in London.
Hamilton Lane promoted Lydia Gavalis to general counsel and Frederick Shaw to chief compliance officer. And it promoted 15 staffers to principal. Among them are Robert Flanigan in the Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania office, Sungji An in Seoul, Tarang Katira in London and Miguel Luina in San Francisco.
Intermedix, the Nashville provider of tech-enabled solutions for the global health and safety net, named Kyle Wailes chief financial officer. Wailes had been an executive vice president at the company. His background includes roles at Thomas Weisel Partners, Altaris Capital Partners and Citigroup.
Jernigan Capital promoted Kelly P. Luttrell to senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. Luttrell succeeds William C. Drummond, who is retiring but will advise Jernigan into 2018. Prior to joining Jernigan, Luttrell was controller and finance director at MicroPort Orthopedics.
Livingstone, a mid-market M&A and debt advisory firm, promoted Karen Dawaf Harron and Nick Field to director and Ian Guilfoyle to associate director.
