Philadelphia-based private equity firm LLR Partners will acquire Paragon Technology Group, a provider of tech solutions to public sector clients. Specifics of the transaction were not publicized, but Scott Friedlander has been appointed President and CEO of the company following LLR’s investment in the company. Some equity will be distributed among the firm’s employees, executives and founders.
Usergrid, the mobile app building cloud service, has been acquired by California-based Apigee, the provider of API management products. Usergrid founder and CEO Ed Anuff has joined Apigee's leadership team, where he will continue to guide the development of Usergrid software. Specifics of the deal were not publicized.
Switzerland’s Capital Dynamics has acquired a 64-megawatt portfolio of UK landfill gas assets across England, Scotland and Wales, it announced Wednesday. The asset manager did not release terms of the deal.
MidOcean Partners has led a recapitalization of Jones & Frank, a provider of equipment distribution, repair, maintenance and installation services for the fueling infrastructure industry. BB&T Capital Partners and management remain minority investors in the business. Jones & Frank is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Olympus Capital has invested 5 billion rupees (about $98.7 million) for a “significant minority stake” in Indian healthcare firm, DM Healthcare Pvt Ltd., Reuters reported. DM Healthcare operates medical centers, hospitals and pharmacies in the Middle East as well as secondary and tertiary care hospitals in India, Reuters wrote. Veda Corporate Advisors was the advisor to DM Healthcare on the transaction.

The National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India is in talks with private equity firms to raises 300-350 million rupees to comply with minimum capital rules, Reuters reported Tuesday. The exchange is India’s fourth largest, and currently has equity capital and reserves of 650-700 million rupees. Names of potential private equity backers were not released.
