Mark Burton has agreed to join Evercore Partners as a senior managing director in the firm's advisory unit. He previously was a vice chairman of Barclays Capital.
Global Infrastructure Partners is partnering with El Paso Corp. to build and operate a 675-mile natural gas pipeline 675-mile natural gas pipeline that will run from the Rocky Mountain region to West Coast. GIP has committed $700 million to the project.
Webster Financial Corp. (NYSE: WBS) has agreed to sell $115 million worth of newly-issued common stock to Warburg Pincus. The deal will give Warburg a 5.9% pro forma ownership stake, which would rise to 15.2% once certain shareholder approvals are obtained. Warburg Pincus managing director David Coulter will join the Webster Financial board of directors.
Daniel Williams has joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a partner in the firm's U.S. restructuring and recovery services practice. He is the former managing partner of Deloitte & Touche’s restructuring services group in New York.
Emerging Capital Partners has acquired control positions in two North African construction companies: Shoresal and Almes. The total equity investment was $26.2 million.
Keith Stock has joined TIAA-CREF as senior managing director and chief strategy office. He will report to asset management boss Scott Evans, and previously was president of MasterCard Advisors LLC.
SigmaBleyzer has acquired Jus-Made LP, a Dallas-based beverage maker. No financial terms were disclosed. The seller was the family of company founder Lamar Dial, a co-creator of Orange Julius and a member of the development team that eventually created the 7-Eleven Slurpee. The Dial family will retain a minority ownership stake.
Cindy Panchula has joined online advertising network Brand.net as vice president of finance. She previously was with Goldman Sachs as vice president of equity capital markets and tech, media and telecom I-banking. At Goldman, Panchula led IPOs for such VC-backed companies as Baidu, Shopping.com, DataDomain and VistaPrint.
Samuel Ginn, former chairman of Vodafone Group, has joined Greenhill & Co. as a senior advisor.
Clairvest Group (TSX: CVG) has held a C$200 million first close on its fourth private equity fund. The fund has a hard cap of C$500 million.
