Gevo Inc., a Pasadena, Calif.-based developer of advanced biofuels like butanol, has raised $17 million in Series C funding. Burrill & Co. and Malaysian Life Sciences Capital Fund were joined by return backers Khosla Ventures and Virgin Green Fund.
