DARA Biosciences Inc. has agreed to go public via a reverse merger with Point Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: POTP), following which DARA shareholders would hold 96.4% of Point's outstanding shares. Behrman Capital is targeting $1 billion for its fourth fund, according to a regulatory filing. The New York-based buyout firm previously raised $1.2 billion for its third fund in 2001, and already has secured more than $137 million for its new effort. www.behrmancap.com

Apax Partners has added three associates to its Paris-based team.
