Chris McCrory has joined 50 South Capital Advisors as a VP on the private equity team. He joins from Pamlico Capital. 50 South Capital is a subsidiary of Northern Trust Corp.
Blue Point Capital Partners has hired Colleen Greenrod as chief administrative officer, Jonathan Pressnell as principal, and Sonali Aggarwal as an associate. Greenrod joined the firm from J.P. Morgan, where she worked for One Equity Partners and the private equity fund administrative group. She replaces Lisa Root, who is retiring after 23 years. Pressnell is rejoining Blue Point after working as a principal at Greenbriar Equity Group.
European mid-market buyout shop Duke Street has named James Almond as fundraising director and Jamie Supple as an investment executive. Almond is the founder of Cornhill Asset Management, while Supple previously worked in M&A at Canaccord Genuity.
Dyal Capital Partners, the private equity unit of Neuberger Berman, has appointed John Dyment as head of its business services platform. Previously, Dyment built and managed Goldman’s capital introduction business and Deutsche Bank’s global hedge fund capital group.
Canadian investment firm Fiera Capital Corp has appointed John Valentini as executive vice president and chief financial officer and David Stréliski as senior vice president and chief risk officer.
General Atlantic said that Robert Swan has joined as an operating partner. He will be part of the firm’s Resources Group. Swan is the former CFO of eBay Inc.
Patrick Connelly has joined Intervale Capital, an energy-focused private equity firm. Connelly was previously a managing director at SCF Partners.
Irving Place Capital has named Walter J. Galvin a senior advisor. Galvin previously spent 40 years with Emerson Electric Co, serving in a variety of senior executive roles, including CFO and vice chairman.
KKR Credit said that John Davison was named CEO of Pillarstone. KKR Credit recently launched Pillarstone to support banks in managing their exposures to non-core and under-performing assets, including corporate loans, real estate and shipping. Davison is the former global head of strategic investments at Royal Bank of Scotland. He is also a co-investor in Pillarstone.
Luminate Capital Partners has hired Sanjay Palakshappa as a principal. Previously, Palakshappa worked at Thoma Bravo.
Monomoy Capital Partners hired Jordan Matusow to focus on sourcing investments in the debt securities of distressed and underperforming businesses. Prior to Monomoy, Matusow worked at Nomura Securities as executive director in the credit sales group.
NorthEdge Capital has named Harry Jones as an investment executive in its Manchester office. He joins from Deloitte.
Pine Brook has hired Bharath Srikrishnan as a managing director. Srikrishnan previously worked at Five Mile Capital Partners where he also served as a managing director.
Z Capital Group has hired Jerome Pender as an operating partner. Previously, Pender worked at the FBI as a chief information officer and executive assistant director.
Monrovia, California-based STAAR Surgical Company, a maker of implantable lenses and delivery systems for the eye, has named William P. Wall to its board of directors. Wall is the former general counsel at Abrams Capital and a founding partner of Andover Capital.
Fiera Capital Corp has promoted Sylvain Roy to president and chief operating officer of its Canadian division, effective October 1.
Intervale Capital has promoted Jason Turowsky to partner. Turowsky was named a principal of Intervale in January.
African private equity fund manager Phatisa has promoted Stuart Bradley to joint managing partner. Most recently, Bradley was a senior partner at Phatisa. Prior to joining Phatisa, Bradley worked at Aureos Southern Africa Fund as a managing partner.
Pine Brook has promoted Nicholaos Krenteras to managing director. Krenteras has been with the investment firm since October 2006.
Saban Capital Group Inc has promoted Richard Yen to managing director of private equity. Yen, who is based in San Francisco, has been with the firm since June 2008. Previously, Yen was a principal at Blueprint Ventures.
Shawn Neville was named CEO of women’s footwear maker Aerosoles. He takes over from interim CEO Caryn Lerner, who is an operating partner of Palladin Consumer Retail Partners LLC. Neville was previously president of the Retail Branding & Information Solutions division at Avery Dennison Corp. Palladin acquired Edison, New Jersey-based Aerosoles in June 2014.
The Cowen Group Inc has formed the Special Situations Group at Cowen and Company. Lorie Beers has joined Cowen as head of special situations and a managing director. Her team includes Jeff Knopping, managing director, and Randy Lederman, director. Beers was most recently an MD and head of restructuring at StormHarbour Securities, while Lederman was a director at StormHarbour in the energy capital markets group.
Dorman Products Inc, a provider of automotive replacement parts and household hardware, has named G. Michael Stakias to its board of directors. Currently, Stakias is the president and CEO of New York-based private equity firm Liberty Partners.
Evercore has hired Finula Cilliers as a managing director in the firm’s debt advisory group in London. Prior to joining Evercore, Cilliers worked at Rothschild in London as a director and head of its derivatives and hedging advisory team.
G2 Capital Advisors said that Matthew Whiting has joined the firm as an MD and head of financial restructuring. Whiting was previously with the restructuring group at Lazard.
Goldman Sachs & Co said that its Merchant Banking Division has retained Louis R. Chenevert to act as an exclusive advisor. He will target opportunities in the aerospace and industrial sectors, Goldman said. Chenevert, 58, is the former chairman and CEO of United Technologies Corp.
Monument Group said it hired three professionals in its Hong Kong office: Albert Jun, director; Sabrina Meng, senior associate; and, Kris Ho, operations manager.
Chris Brewster has joined PE fund administration services provider Standish Management LLC as a director and leader of the firm’s new office in Chicago. Prior to joining Standish, Brewster worked at Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services as a vice president.
Frank Pizzo was named regional president of Wells Fargo & Co’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He succeeds Jim Johnston who will return to the United States at the end of the year. Pizzo currently serves as MD and head of the Loan Syndications & High Yield Debt Capital Markets Group for Wells Fargo Securities.
The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has named Nicole Musicco a managing director for Asia-Pacific and head of the Hong Kong office. Musicco joined Teachers’ in 2002 and most recently served as vice president for Teachers’ Private Capital.
Ascension Insurance Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of Parthenon Capital and Century Capital Management, has promoted Edward Nathan Page to president and Jamie Linden to chief financial officer. Previously, Page had been the company’s CFO and executive vice president while Linden was its vice president of finance and western regional chief financial officer.
Data Dimensions, a portfolio company of HealthEdge Investment Partners LLC, said it reorganized its executive team. Shawna Schultz will now serve as EVP of customer experience, while David Hiller is now EVP and COO for the entire data dimensions organization. Amanda Kilburg was named VP of project management and implementations, and Jake Strader was promoted to director of business development.
Pierre de Villeméjane was named president and CEO of Heritage Home Group LLC. Richard Lozyniak, who served as interim CEO, will continue as a member of HHG’s board of directors. Heritage Home, a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners, designs and makes home furnishings.
MultiView, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, has appointed Todd Ebert as chief marketing officer. Previously, Ebert worked at ReachLocal where he served as CMO. MultiView is a B2B marketing solutions provider.
Six Red Marbles, which is backed by Calvert Street Partners, has named Tom Gernon as senior vice president of technology and operations and chief technology officer. Previously, Gernon worked at the Princeton Review as chief information officer. Based in Boston, Six Red Marbles is a producer of digital and blended learning programs.
Kathy Savitt has joined STX Entertainment as president of digital beginning in October. Savitt currently serves as the chief marketing officer and head of media at Yahoo Inc. STX is a portfolio company of TPG Growth.
Velocity Technology Solutions Inc, a provider of enterprise and business application hosting services, has appointed Keith Angell as president, CEO and a member of its board of directors. Previously, Angel was president of global services for Virtustream. Velocity is backed by Silver Lake Sumeru.
