Patricia Grad jumps to Actis after 5 years with Irving Place

Grad is now with Actis where she is part of the investor development group, her LinkedIn profile said. She left Irving Place in January, her profile said. Grad no longer appears on the Irving Place website.

Update: Grad joined Actis in early February as global head of consultant relations, North American sales, an Actis spokeswoman said.

London-based Actis, a private equity firm, invests in emerging markets including Asia, Africa and Latin America. The firm has $7.6 billion funds under management.

Grad joined Irving Place in 2010 and was the firm’s head of investor relations. Before Irving Place, she was VP of Investor Relations at Oak Hill Capital and part of the IR team at JP Morgan Partners.

Her departure from Irving Place comes roughly a month after Robert Juneja and Bret Bowermanannounced they were leaving to start their own firm. Juneja was a senior managing director at Irving Place, while Bowerman was a principal. The executives have launched Harbour Point Capital, a New York-based PE firm that specializes in healthcare investments.

Irving Place Capital, based in New York, was previously known as Bear Stearns Merchant Banking (BSMB). It split off from Bear Stearns after the investment bank collapsed and was acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2008. BSMB then renamed itself Irving Place.

News of Grad’s departure from Irving Place was first reported by Women’s PE Briefs.
