The hire will initiate, develop and grow investments and relationships with entrepreneurs at private companies. Candidates should have three to five years of experience in technology, venture capital, private equity, finance or a leadership/business development role in an entrepreneurial organization. An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA or MA/MA is preferred. Venture capital investing experience is strongly preferred. Alumni or professional alumni of the UC Berkeley community is preferred. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay area.
Mill Creek Capital Advisors LLC is on the hunt for a senior portfolio manager. He or she will maintain detailed “working knowledge” of historical and recent trends within the private investments asset class and managers and disseminate this knowledge and industry information and data to other members of the investment strategy team, the investment committee and other MCCA constituencies. Also, he or she will undertake initial manager identification and due diligence process and ongoing manager review process. Candidates should have a graduate degree (MBA or other relevant master’s). The position will be based at the firm’s suburban Philadelphia headquarters office.
AIG is seeking a private equity senior associate. The hire will assist in the identification, evaluation, selection and monitoring of existing and new investments; and attend/present at investment committee meetings on PE related recommendations, as needed. Also, he or she will maintain reports to track and monitor prospective and existing investments; and provide support for various portfolio operational matters, including accounting, risk management and other governance related tasks. Candidates include two or more years of relevant work experience required (private equity fund diligence). He or she should be a graduate of a four-year college degree; a CFA and/or MBA is preferred. The position is in New York City.
MVision Private Equity Advisers is searching for an associate. The hire is expected to assist his/her deal team in maintaining and nurturing existing client and investor relationships and to engage in continuing market research to identify, contact and develop relationships throughout the alternative assets class. He or she will learn and develop the skills to manage deal teams and work towards becoming a deal manager. Candidates should have a minimum of four to five years’ experience working within banking, private equity or a related function and they must be knowledgeable about the private equity market and the process of raising private equity funds. Also, he or she should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a financial, business or a mathematical discipline. A United States FINRA authorization Series 7 and 63 (79 an advantage) is desired; some international travel will be required. The position is in New York.
