Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Angelo Gordon, Vopne and Blackstone are hiring

Angelo Gordon is seeking an associate. The hire will develop and maintain financial models, capitalization tables and valuations. Also, he or she will lead analysis on special assignments including growth/strategic initiatives, operational improvements, financial planning and cash management. Candidates should have two to four years of work experience in investment banking, management consulting or another financial services role. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or another quantitative field is preferred. The position is in the Greater New York City area.

Vopne Capital is looking to hire a pre-MBA private equity associate. The hire will create detailed financial models, particularly focused on acquisition modeling; conduct extensive company and industry due diligence; and assist with sourcing and analysis of new investment opportunities. Candidates should have two to five years of work experience, with at least two years in investment banking, private equity, acquisition-related accounting diligence, or strategy consulting (with PE focus); an undergraduate degree from a top-tier college/university is required. The position is in New York City.

Spring Capital Partners is searching for an associate. The hire will screen potential investment opportunities for fit within the fund; and perform company and industry due diligence. Candidates should have three plus years of analytical work in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions or principal transactions, preferably within investment banking, investment research, or leveraged finance. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a business-related area; an MBA, CFA, and/or relevant work experience is strongly preferred. The position is in Baltimore.

Blackstone is on the hunt for a private equity co-investment analyst for its Strategic Partners unit. The hire will evaluate and close co-investments including all aspects of deal due diligence. The responsibilities include extensive underwriting and financial modeling across a variety of industries. Candidates should have one to three years’ experience in an investment banking or private equity role. The position is in New York City.
