Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Bain Capital, JP Morgan and Providence are hiring

JP Morgan is seeking an executive director for its private equity group. The role will encompass all aspects of sourcing and executing new private equity investments, managing existing investments and representing the PEG to both current and prospective clients. Candidates should have a minimum 10 years of private equity investing experience, focused on executing partnership, secondary and co-investment commitments in North America. Candidates without private equity investing experience will not be considered. Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills are required. The position is in New York City.

Gatewood Capital Partners is seeking a private equity finance associate/vice president. The hire will participate in the firm’s operations, fund administration, valuations, audit, investor relations and tax functions, acting as an integral part of a close-knit team of investment professionals. Also, he or she will also participate in transaction processes and portfolio management activities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field and four to six years of specific, relevant private fund or equivalent experience. The position is in New York City.

Providence Equity Partners is looking to hire a senior associate for its private equity finance team. The hire will prepare all reporting for private equity funds including recording journal entries, preparing quarterly financials, annual audited financials, preparing investor notices and other partner reporting. Also, he or she will prepare and track fund capital calls and distributions; and book capital activity of the fund including preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. A minimum of three years of experience is required, preferably within a public accounting, financial services, legal or consulting environment. The position is in Boston.

Bain Capital is on the hunt for a finance associate. The hire will perform quarterly valuation analyses on companies and their securities across a wide range of industries. Also, he or she will assist in project management of the quarterly valuation process, which includes interacting with deal team, finance/operations team and external valuation consultants. Candidates should have strong academic credentials and two to four years of direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies within a private equity, investment banking, valuation research or accounting firm. The position is in Boston.
