Private Equity Jobs of the Week: BlackRock, Brookfield and Apollo are hiring

BlackRock is searching for a director for its impact opportunities fund. The hire will effectively source, conduct due diligence, negotiate, execute and monitor investments and drive investment process. Also, he or she will drive deal teams through the cross-functional underwriting process, working closely with other BlackRock alternative investment teams as well as external partners. Candidates should have 10 to 15 years of professional experience; fluency or advanced Spanish language skills is a plus. An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA and/or other advanced degree is helpful. The position is in New York City.

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a senior vice president of business operations. The hire will engage and collaborate with a cross-section of portfolio companies covering a broad range of industries to identify and deliver value creation while mitigating risks. Also, he or she will develop strategies and actions to maximize profitability and deliver sustainable results aligned to the value creation plan established during due diligence. Candidates should have 15 years of hands-on leadership experience in an operating company environment with a proven track record of success in creating shareholder value. Also, they should have prior P&L experience for a business unit. The position is in New York City.

Ares Management is looking to hire an associate for its private equity investor relations group. The hire will be part of a team working closely with investment professionals from the private equity group in order to provide investor relations support, including written and oral communications with existing and potential investors, market and competitor research and analysis, investor presentation support and completion of due diligence and ad hoc investor requests. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent with a minimum of two to four years of related work experience in the financial industry, preferably within private equity or distressed debt. The position is in either New York or Los Angeles.

Apollo Global Management is on the hunt for an associate for its investor services team. The hire will be responsible for leveraging and monitoring the functionality of Salesforce and the newly developed investor portal to effectively interact with investors. Candidates should have five plus years of related technical/data analytics/reporting experience; and a bachelor’s degree. A knowledge of Salesforce, eFront, Investran, SQL and VBA Macros is preferred. The position is in Purchase, New York.
