Private Equity Jobs of the Week: BlackRock, Evercore and Wells Fargo are hiring

BlackRock is seeking an investment management director for its long-term private capital team. The hire is expected to have a clear understanding of, prior experience in, and the ability to drive the private equity investment process, including working with management and advisors to evaluate investment opportunities, executing transactions from legal negotiation to operational coordination and monitoring portfolio companies. Candidates should have over eight to 10 years of professional experience, ideally from leading buyout firms; and a successful track record as an investor coupled with excellent understanding of global private equity markets. The position is in New York.

Evercore is on the hunt for a senior associate/vice president for its consumer and retail advisory group. Duties include management and execution of live transactions, assistance with new business development, and fostering of client relationships, with a particular focus on managing analysts and associates. Also, he or she will oversee financial and valuation analysis, resolve complex financial and accounting issues, perform industry and competitive analysis and prepare client presentation materials. Candidates should have an MBA from a top-tier business school or equivalent investment banking experience within the consumer/retail sector. The position is in New York City.

Wells Fargo is on the hunt for venture capital/private equity healthcare associate. The hire will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process including evaluating, executing, closing and ongoing monitoring of investment opportunities. Also, he or she will be involved in interaction with internal and external constituents including portfolio companies, partner investors, other Wells Fargo lines of business, and the WFSC investment committee. Candidates should have one plus years of experience in one or a combination of the following: investment banking, capital markets, private equity, commercial banking, merchant banking, direct investing, consulting or operations in any aforementioned area. An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in biological sciences, chemistry or engineering is a plus. The position is in San Francisco.

Catalyst Investors is looking to hire a business development associate. The hire will identify potential investment opportunities that align with Catalyst’s research initiatives; conduct outreach and build relationships with prospective companies; and build a robust pipeline of opportunities, identifying top near- and long-term investment prospects. Candidates should have one to two years of relevant deal or prospect sourcing experience. The position is in New York.
