Private Equity Jobs of the Week: BlackRock, Macquarie and Tikehau are hiring

This week’s jobs include associates at BlackRock and Westward Partners and an analyst at Macquarie.

Westward Partners is looking to hire a private equity associate. The hire will be involved in all aspects of private equity investments, including due diligence, transaction execution, industry and company research, and post-transaction investment monitoring. Candidates should have a background in finance and accounting, including leveraged buyout and other types of financial modeling, a fundamental understanding of the private equity transaction process, the use of leverage and debt products and the foundations of transaction structuring.  Other requirements: a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or a related degree from a top-tier university with superior academic performance; and two to three years of professional experience as an analyst in investment banking or private equity. The position is in Seattle.

BlackRock is searching for an investment associate to help the firm launch its small/mid cap public and crossover public/private funds. The role will involve investing across both public and private opportunities and across market cap. The associate will work directly with the co-PMs. Candidates should have one to two years of investment banking work and one to two years of private equity/growth equity experience sourcing and executing private company transactions. The position is in New York City.

Macquarie is looking to hire a private equity analyst. Duties include conducting industry and company research, performing due diligence, financial analysis, financial models, presentations and investment committee memoranda with the view of executing investment and capital raising opportunities. Candidates should have two to three years of experience in the investment banking sector. The position is in Chicago.

Tikehau Investment Management is on the hunt for a private equity analyst. The hire will perform sector, strategic and financial analysis of target companies; build financial model and scenario analysis of company business plans; and attend management meetings. Also, he or she will be involved in the structuring and execution of financing, legal documentation and deal negotiation; and participate in the monitoring of portfolio companies. Candidates should have a degree from a business school or a university with a finance specialization; and a minimum of one year of experience in a permanent analyst role and be able to demonstrate transaction experience developed within private equity/M&A/corporate finance. The position is in London.
