Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, Gen II and Prudential are hiring

Gen II Fund Services is on the hunt for an associate director to manage private equity funds. The hire will work closely with the director/managing director managing daily fund operations; manage the operations and accounting of an existing fund independently; and have the ability to interface and manage a client/business with limited guidance. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting; a public/private CPA is preferred. Also, they should have five plus years of relevant private equity fund/investment company accounting and reporting experience. The position is in New York City.

Prudential is seeking an investment associate for its chief investment office. The hire will aid portfolio managers in all aspects of the investment sourcing, underwriting and diligence process for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary investments; and perform ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of investments as well as the aggregate portfolio. Also, he or she will work with operations, accounting, tax and legal departments as part of the investment due diligence and execution process; and conduct market, industry and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector trends as well as support related analytical projects. Candidates should have five years of relevant work experience (i.e. private equity, credit underwriting, valuation work, or investment banking). An accounting or financial undergraduate degree with MBA or CFA is preferred. The position is in Newark, New Jersey.

Blackstone is looking to hire a fund and portfolio management associate for its real estate unit. The hire will be responsible for analytics around balance sheet, capital structure, and liquidity management; coordinate with asset management on key asset initiatives; and monitor investment pipeline and coordinate with various parties to support closings. Candidates should have five to eight years of experience; prior real estate investment, investment banking, or portfolio/fund management experience is preferred. The position is in New York City.

Coller Capital is looking to hire an investment associate for its funds group. The hire will qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate potential transactions including performing detailed sector and company research and analysis LP portfolio analysis. Also, he or she will conduct due diligence and assist with deal execution and transaction management. Candidates should have 18 months to three years of relevant experience within a relevant industry (you will have completed your analyst training or equivalent). A good knowledge of the private equity secondaries market is desirable. The position is in New York City.
