Also, he or she will ensure successful fundraises are completed efficiently and collaborate across the broad investor relations team and organization. Candidates should have 15 plus years of relevant experience in relevant roles such as investment banking, venture capital or private equity investment roles, investor relations, operating experience at a high growth technology or life science start-up, asset management or consulting. Prior venture capital and/or private equity experience is strongly preferred. Also, they should have experience contributing to multiple fundraises across various strategies. Familiarity with managing a network of LP relationships is also a plus. The position is in Menlo Park, California.
Boston Consulting Group is seeking a principal for its private equity portfolio operations. The hire will interact with the client lead on a day-to-day basis to ensure that expectations are aligned. According to BCG, “principals provide the project management oversight required to meet client expectations. Projects vary based on client needs, but the importance of seeing possibilities where other people find limits will be a constant.” Applicants should have five plus years of post-graduate school consulting experience working with private equity firms and portfolio companies; and three plus years of line management experience. Partners Group is looking to hire an investment associate for its private equity team. The hire will participate in all aspects of private market investments, as well as develop investment skills and build industry relationships. This position will focus on private equity fund investments, secondary and co-investments in and alongside private equity funds. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with a preferred coursework emphasis on business administration, accounting, finance and/or economics; and two to four years of investment banking experience, or comparable work experience. Credible valuation and modeling skills are required. The position is in New York City.

The hire will be involved in complex fundraising and advisory assignments across a broad range of industries and investment perspectives (buyout, growth equity, venture, special situations, emerging markets, etc.). Also, he or she will conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on private equity firms, institutional investors and their respective portfolio strategies; and develop pitch book presentations to explain industry trends, discuss client options and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, business administration or a related field. An MBA is preferred but not required. They should also have a good understanding and hands-on exposure to private equity and/or other alternative asset classes. The position is in New York City.
