Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Carlyle, First Capital and Saw Mill are hiring

This week’s positions include a principal at Savano, a VP at Carlyle and an associate at Saw Mill.

Savano Capital Partners is searching for a vice president/principal. The hire will help lead all aspects of the investment process. He or she will work directly with the firm’s partners and be responsible for scaling and managing deal sourcing, due diligence and deal execution. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree; an MBA is preferred. Also, they should have five to 10 years of related experience (i.e. VC/PE, investment banking, management consulting, etc.). The position is in Baltimore.

The Carlyle Group is seeking a vice president of fund management for its global private equity group. The hire will lead the closings of investment purchases, distributions and dispositions of existing investments; and lead the analysis of potential transactions with the assistance of legal counsel and tax advisors to determine the best structuring for each investment. Also, he or she will ensure the funds will be able to meet all funding requirements through either capital drawdowns from investors or from short-term borrowing on the fund credit facility. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; a CPA, CFA or MBA is strongly desired. Also, they should have 10 to 12 years’ of prior experience in accounting and/or finance. The position is in Washington, D.C.

Saw Mill Capital is on the hunt for an associate. The hire will be involved in every stage of deal evaluation, execution and management where he or she will get close and broad experience with portfolio company management team. Candidates should have two years’ experience in investment banking and fluency in M&A, financing and business fundamentals. The position is in Briarcliff Manor, New York.

First Capital Partners is looking to hire a mezzanine debt/private equity associate. The hire will focus on playing a strong role in the execution of actionable investment opportunities, including investment screening, financial modeling and scenario testing, business and industry research, preparing briefing and investment memos, performing due diligence, and portfolio company management. Candidates should have two to four years of prior experience in a financially-oriented position. An MBA is a plus but not required depending on undergraduate education and prior work experience. The position is in Omaha.
