CPPIB: Sr Associate of VC Funds

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is looking to hire a senior associate of venture capital funds. The hire will be part of a team responsible for originating, executing and managing fund commitments and direct co-investments across the VC market. Also, he or she will develop relationships with VC firms, intermediaries and other ecosystem participants in connection with origination, due diligence and post-investment monitoring. Candidates should have six to eight years of related work experience (for example, investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, business development, entrepreneurship, technology). The position is in San Francisco.

AlpInvest: Biz Dev/IR Associate

The Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest is searching for a business development and investor relations associate. Duties include supporting senior professionals on business development efforts across the global platform; project management on product offerings including prospect tracking and prioritization, data room management, and roadshow planning; and preparation of due diligence responses, meeting agendas, etc. Candidates should have a minimum of two to three years of experience at an investment bank (preferred), private equity firm, consultancy firm or placement agent. An undergraduate degree is required with a GPA of 3.5 or higher; a concentration in finance, business, accounting, engineering, mathematics, sciences, or statistics is preferred. The position is in New York City.

Piper Jaffray: IB Associate

Piper Jaffray is on the hunt for an experienced investment banking associate for its healthcare services team. The hire will write memorandums for company sale assignments, create client projection models, prepare data-driven analysis of clients’ business models and lead due diligence for sale processes. Also, he or she will be responsible for executing transactions and typically function as a backup for relationships with important clients. Candidates should have about one year of investment banking experience at the associate level; preferably promoted from an analyst position with a strong track record of M&A transaction experience and excellent analytical and modeling skills. The position will be either in Chicago or New York City.

Colorado Impact: Investor

The Colorado Impact Fund is seeking an investment professional. The hire will participate in and support the investment process from opportunity identification through due diligence and deal closing as well as lead and support initial screen of new investment opportunities. Also, he or she will build and maintain detailed company financial models, sourcing and pipeline tracker and proprietary firm databases; and prepare investment presentations and memos for both internal and external audiences. Candidates should have an accomplished track record of at least three to five years in private equity/venture capital, investment banking, consulting or other relevant experience; operational experience is a plus. The position is in Denver.
