Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Evercore, Fin VC and AIG are hiring

This week’s jobs include two positions at Fin VC, an associate spot at Evercore and a senior analyst at AIG Investments.

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

Fin VC has two job openings it’s seeking to fill. The venture firm wants to add a business development associate/vice president for its operations team. The hire will help execute and build the systems to help fund managers manage a growing portfolio of early-stage, late-stage, and pre-IPO fintech investments. Candidates should have four plus years of experience working as a strategy, business development or partnership lead at a fintech company or in a finance-related role. He or she will report directly to the fund managers based in San Francisco and New York City.

Also, another position up for grabs is an associate role for Fin VC’s investment team. The hire will conduct market analysis and opportunity identification via academic research, customer interviews, conferences, incubator and university demo days and peers. Candidates should have two to five years of previous work experience, ideally with a background in venture capital, private equity or investment banking with exposure to financial services/fintech. Also, a B.A. or B.S. in related fields is a strong plus as is a MBA. This position is in New York City.

Evercore is looking to hire an associate for its private capital advisory unit. Evercore PCA specializes in providing liquidity solutions to institutional investors and their managers through secondary transactions in the private equity, hedge fund, real estate and infrastructure markets. This includes private equity funds, direct co-investments, mezzanine interests and hedge fund side pockets. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience; a top MBA degree is preferred. The position is in New York City.

AIG Investments is seeking a senior analyst for its private equity funds. The hire will have responsibility for supporting the private equity portfolio manager in the management of the private equity portfolio, which includes investment due diligence, portfolio monitoring, risk management as well as special projects. Also, he or she will work across fund strategies in the private equity fund space, including leveraged buyouts, growth, venture capital, mezzanine, real assets, and distressed. Candidates should have one plus years of relevant work experience. The position is in New York City.
