Private Equity Jobs of the Week: First Round, Stifel and GenNx360 are hiring

First Round is seeking a chief of staff for Partner Hayley Barna. The hire will engage across all functions of First Round, including reviewing new investment opportunities, special projects, partner branding/marketing, portfolio engagement and management of administrative staff. The position is not a partner-track role. Candidates should have two to three years of working experience. First Round is looking for a diversity of backgrounds that include, for example, a project manager or operations guru with startup experience who thrives keeping the trains running on time with little oversight; or a business generalist with a passion for technology and a penchant for learning new things fast. The position is in New York City.

Stifel is on the hunt for an investment banking senior associate/vice president for its equity capital markets team. The hire will support deal teams in all parts of equity origination and execution, including IPOs, follow-ons, convertible notes and private placements. Also, he or she will monitor markets to determine indicative pricing levels for various products; and analyze trends in the markets, including macro-environment and new issue/secondary. Candidates should have strong quantitative/analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. The position is in San Francisco.

GenNx360 Capital Partners is looking to hire an investor relations associate. The hire will work with the investment relations director to support investor relations effort for three investment funds. Also, he or she will analyze data and manage periodic due diligence requests from current and prospective fund investors; and participate in select investor meetings and calls; and assist with advance meeting prep and subsequent follow-up. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or economics is preferred. Candidates should have at least two years of experience at a private equity fund, investment bank, venture capital fund, management consulting firm or another financial institution. The position is in New York City.

S3 Ventures is seeking a pre-MBA venture capital associate. The hire will diligence new investment opportunities, support deal execution and provide operational horsepower for the firm’s portfolio companies. Candidates should have two to five years of total prior work experience that may include a minimum of two years of full-time work experience at an investment bank, venture capital firm, private equity firm, hedge fund or strategy consultancy. He or she should have an undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution with a track record of academic and professional success. The position is in Austin, Texas.
