Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Gen II, Cerberus and MetLife are hiring

MetLife is looking to hire a private equity director. The hire will source and track new opportunities with external investment managers and lead the fund due diligence including review of data room, detailed portfolio review and analysis, and fundamental research of portfolio holdings as well as working with the legal department on the LPA legal review. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 plus years of experience in the due diligence, selection, monitoring and management of private equity fund investments. The position is in Whippany, New Jersey.

Gen II Fund Services is searching for a private equity director. The hire will direct the day-to-day accounting and fund administration for multiple investment sponsors. Also, he or she will have extensive hands-on involvement in preparing and reviewing work papers, investments, accruals and financial statements with footnotes and investor allocations. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in in accounting, finance or economics; seven plus years of fund accounting experience in either a private equity fund, private equity fund administrator, or another financial institution where the candidate has gained financial products knowledge. Also, applicants should have five plus years of supervisory experience. The position is in Tampa.

Cerberus Capital Management is seeking a senior associate/vice president of real estate private credit team. The hire will primarily be responsible for managing deal execution, underwriting, financial analysis and performing due diligence on debt transactions originated by Cerberus’ dedicated vehicle. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree; and five to eight years of experience ideally in commercial real estate finance, brokerage or investment banking. The position in New York City.

Atalaya Capital is on the hunt for an investment professional. The hire will work on multiple transactions at once across all stages of the investment process, participating in the underwriting and execution of financial asset investments from sourcing through due diligence, structuring, investment committee and ongoing relationship management. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher; and one plus years of investment banking, special situations, private credit, private equity, or other relevant investing experience. The position is in New York City with the flexibility to work both remotely and in the office.
