The hire will work on a variety of domestic and international deals related to strategic/commercial/operational due diligence and assist the firm’s operational private equity investment desk with evaluating potential acquisition targets. Also, he or she will spearhead the compilation and presentation of the due diligence analysis, as well as assisting the investment team in evaluating the impact of the analysis on their model. Candidates should have four to eight plus years of overall work experience in M&A or M&A pre-deal service delivery at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, private equity firm, investment bank or a world-class organization. Applicants should have an MBA degree from a top-tier business school, preferably in general management, finance, private equity/venture capital and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in business administration, economics, finance or a related field. Duties include partnering with colleagues from the investment departments, structuring, tax and treasury to assist in investment closings through documentation review, system setups, transaction entries and settlements. The hire will help lead deal teams in the underwriting, structuring and documentation of middle-market cash flow loans for private equity-backed transactions, including leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, add-on acquisitions and refinancings. He or she will conduct financial and business due diligence including company & industry research, cash flow modeling, financial analysis and so forth to determine the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers.
