Duties include using network/relationships to originate unique opportunities which fit the strategy of the platform and leading due diligence and evaluation of principal investment. Also, he or she will execute and drive principal investment to completion and provide ongoing monitoring of the position through quarterly reviews and management interaction. Private equity, venture capital or other junior debt/equity investment experience is a plus. Candidates must have strong analytical, modelling, presentation, research and interpersonal skills. FINRA exams are also required or must be obtained within 6 months (SIE, S79, S63 as applicable). The position is in New York City.
Union Square Advisors is seeking an investment banking associate. The hire will create, maintain and review complex financial models and valuation analyses; and manage day-to-day deal execution, interacting with senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors. Also, he or she will assist clients in due diligence by coordinating the information flow, supervising calls and meetings between the parties, as well as reviewing and analyzing company information. Candidates should have a bachelors’ degree from a leading university; an MBA is required for candidates that were not directly promoted or pending promotion, from analyst to associate within a leading investment bank. Also, they should have at least two full years of experience in capital markets, investment banking or a corporate finance-related role (i.e. pre-MBA, or equivalent level for direct analyst promotes). The position is in New York City.
Brookfield Asset Management is on the hunt for a compliance associate. Duties include monitoring compliance with policies, procedures and protocols, including those in respect of personal trading, political contributions, anti-money laundering and proprietary trading. Also, he or she will maintain compliance monitoring (and related) reports, including in respect of supervised personnel, compliance calendar, and others. The ideal candidate will have five plus years of relevant asset management regulatory compliance support/ paralegal experience. Experience in assisting the execution and administration of a regulatory compliance program, including facilitation of the monitoring of compliance with policies, procedures and protocols applicable to RIAs, registered broker-dealers and private funds is a plus. The position is in New York City.

The hire will work alongside senior investment professionals in actively monitoring existing investments, evaluate new investment opportunities and contribute to internal investment committee discussions and assist deal teams in preparing investment committee materials. Also, he or she will participate in screening and diligence meetings with new and existing managers, including pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting notes. Candidates should have two to three years plus experience in investment management, investment banking, or the alternative assets group of an insurance company or pension fund.
