The hire will originate and oversee execution of transactions with sponsors in leveraged finance, direct lending, securitization, equity margin lending, project finance, ABL, derivatives and other product areas of MUFG. Also, he or she will build relationships across covered private equity firms, including sector-oriented deal partners, capital markets professionals and senior management. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferable (MBA and/or JD). Also, they should have a minimum of 10 to 20 years of experience in investment banking or direct lending, including extensive experience in sponsor coverage, middle market lending, and/or leveraged finance, with a focus on origination and client relationship development. The position is in New York City.
Pear VC is on the hunt for a head of talent. Duties include eevising and implementing a curriculum for founders to learn about recruiting and talent from Pear; and forming relationships with founders and key stakeholders at Pear portfolio companies. Also, he or she will advise and coach companies throughout their recruiting cycle. Candidates should have between five and 10 years of experience, although this is not a hard requirement. Also, they should have worked in recruiting at a startup, technical recruiting at a search firm, and/or in the talent function of a VC fund. The position is in Silicon Valley.

In this partner-track position, the hire will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s due diligence efforts, monitoring and assisting Emergence’s portfolio companies researching investment themes, and helping source new deals. Candidates should have an MBA and six to 10 years of experience in some combination of consulting/banking, big tech and startups. The position is in the San Francisco Bay area.
Blackstone is seeking a private equity associate for its global fund finance group. Duties include assisting with reviewing daily cash and investment activity; monitoring and reporting on credit facility activity; and preparation of capital drawdowns and distributions. Also, he or she will review waterfall calculations as well as management fee calculations and billing statements. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting; a CPA is preferred, not required. Also, they should have four to six years of related experience in public accounting and/or private equity fund administration. The position is in New York City.

The hire should have at least three years of experience in direct public or private equity investing and two years of investment banking experience. Experience in credit and international is a plus.
