The hire will be responsible for overseeing the operations supporting the firm’s private market efforts across all facets of the investment life-cycle from sourcing through exit. He or she will provide the thought leadership to further developing the firm’s operational and investment capabilities for private deals. Additionally, this role will manage the private equity operations and fair valuation teams. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a private markets investment or management role. An MBA or CFA is preferred. The position is in Boston.
Zurich Insurance is on the hunt for a private equity director. The hire will execute on private equity opportunities from start to finish including the initial fund meeting, performance review, attribution analysis and the financial review. As part of the private equity function, he or she will also be integral in recommending investment and divestment opportunities to the Zurich alternative asset management investment committee. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, law and accounting or a CFA/ CPA if the undergraduate degree is not in one of the aforementioned areas. Also, he or she should have experience advising on structuring private equity fund investment mandates, managing a portfolio of private equity investment managers and selecting private equity fund opportunities. Brookfield Asset Management is looking to hire a senior associate of private funds investor relations. The hire will be responsible for executing strategic investor relations and client service initiatives for existing and prospective private fund investors. This will include providing ongoing coverage to Brookfield’s private fund investors and collaborating across investment segments to ensure a unified approach to relationship management and client service. Candidates should have five to eight years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investor relations, client service, equity research and investment banking. He or she should have an undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background; additional credentials including MBA, CPA, CAIA or CFA are preferred. The position is in New York.
