Sands Capital is on the hunt for a venture partner for its ventures technology sector investment team. He or she will function as an integral member of the ventures team and will join an experienced team of investment professionals in finding, assessing and investing in leading startups in the tech industry. He or she should be flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required. Candidates should have a BS or BA degree; a MS or technical degree or in computer science/engineering is preferred but not required. Also, they should have 15 to 20 years of relevant working experience. Operational experience at a startup is a plus. The position is in Arlington, Virginia.

Cambridge Associates is seeking an associate director for its private investments business development unit. The hire will construct and maintain a pipeline of all private investment business opportunities for current and prospective clients; and establish an infrastructure to track all private investment activities globally and measure the firm’s success rate. Also, he or she will manage and oversee all private investment marketing content and ensure that data is accurate, updated and that the messaging is consistent across mediums. Candidates should have a BA or BS degree and six to nine years of experience in the investment industry. Also, they must commit to passing the Series 3 exam within the first three months of employment (tutorials and study materials are provided). The position is in Boston.

Vesey Street Capital Partners is searching for a private equity senior associate/vice president. The hire will be working closely with the team and with executives and board members of the firm’s companies in building and expanding financial, operational and presentation models in developing plans and measurement metrics and in communicating to Vesey’s constituents. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree (preferably a business focus) or business graduate degree with excellent documented scholastic performance; and five to 10 years of experience working in the financial services industry (preferably experience in private equity). The position is in New York.

The Carlyle Group is looking to hire a fund management analyst for its global credit unit. The hire will assist in the formation process for all fund and investment level entities; prepare documentation needed for internal legal entity approval; and coordinate establishment of tax documentation (W8, W9) for all entities. Also, he or she will assist in the structuring, execution and monitoring of investment transactions. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting; a finance double major/minor is strongly preferred. Also, they should have three to four years of work experience; Big 4 audit or advisory experience is preferred. Also, a CPA is preferred. The position is in New York.
