The hire will have an active role in identifying and mitigating compliance risk, foster a business-oriented compliance function and help the organization embrace compliance. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; and four plus years of experience working in a compliance function at an SEC-registered investment adviser or at a regulator or law firm. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and certain aspects of the Investment Company Act. Experience in private equity, private credit and/or hedge fund compliance is strongly preferred. The position is in New York.

The hire will be actively engaged in the evaluation, structuring, negotiation and financing of transactions, as well as in the strategic assessment and implementation of operational initiatives at the firm’s portfolio companies in partnership with its management teams. The position is a two-year commitment; however, “exceptional performers will be considered for broader career enhancing opportunities.” Candidates should have a superior academic and performance record; and a minimum of one to three years (by start date) experience from a leading energy private equity investing platform, investment bank, energy strategic/corporation or management consulting firm. Associates work as part of small teams that are responsible for identifying, structuring, executing and managing corporate debt investments. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another business discipline; and experience in the financial services industry, preferably investment banking or buyside experience.
