Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Wellington, Neuberger Berman and World Bank are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

Wellington Management is seeking a private equity principal. The hire will be responsible for helping to further develop the firm’s network with venture firms, in addition to developing relationships directly with private companies with a focus on the consumer sector.  Also, he or she will evaluate potential consumer investment opportunities, conduct in-depth due diligence of select deals, develop investment recommendations and monitor portfolio positions. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a private markets investment role, preferably at a venture capital or private equity firm. A MBA/CFA  is preferred. The position is in San Francisco.

World Bank Group is searching for an investment officer. The hire will promote IFC’s investments in the TMT sector globally. Also, he or she will identify and execute viable investment transactions in the designated region. Candidates should have at least eight to 12 years of investment experience with a proven track-record of sourcing and closing deals. TMT investment experience is preferred. Applicants should have an MBA or equivalent qualification. The position is in Washington, D.C.

Neuberger Berman is looking to hire a pre-MBA associate for its secondary private equity team. Duties include screening and conducting due diligence on secondary private equity investment opportunities; and performing in-depth research and financial analysis on companies and assets from various stages, sectors and geographies. Also, he or she will assist with the preparation of due diligence materials, screening and investment committee memos. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate school and GPA) and at least one to two years of top-tier investment banking and/or private equity experience. The position is in New York City.

Lazard Asset Management is seeking an associate for its private capital advisory group. The hire will assist in evaluating and tracking market developments and support several transaction management teams in conducting fund due diligence, preparing marketing materials and being a point of contact with clients. Also, he or she will communicate and strategize with the private equity and private credit distribution team throughout the marketing process to close investor commitments. Candidates should have private equity and/or credit fundraising or investment experience preferred, either as a placement agent, internal investor relations team member or limited partner. The position is in New York City.

Blackstone‘s private equity and tactical opportunities groups are looking for analysts to join their portfolio management program starting around October 2019. The program begins with a three- to six-month training period at Blackstone’s New York City office with hands-on experience working with the private equity valuations team. The training period is followed by two to three years of rotational assignments on location at various private equity and tactical opportunities portfolio companies. Candidates should have three to four years’ work experience in financial services. He or she should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or a quantitative discipline, or experience in the finance field.
