Seven Generations Energy files IPO prospectus

Seven Generations Energy Ltd has filed a preliminary prospectus with most Canadian securities commissions in connection with an initial public offering of its common shares. The company’s IPO, which was discussed by peHUB Canada in July, is reported to target as much as $1 billion. According to SEDAR, the IPO will include a secondary offering for two of Seven Generations’ private equity investors: ARC Financial Corp and KERN Partners. The company is also backed by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Natural Gas Partners and ZBI Ventures. Founded in May 2008, the Calgary-based Seven Generations is a tight gas developer with a single asset, the Kakwa River Project in Alberta.

Seven Generations Files Preliminary Prospectus in Connection with Initial Public Offering

CALGARY, Sept. 23, 2014 /CNW/ – Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (the “Company” or “7G”) is pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary long form prospectus (the “Prospectus”) with the securities commissions of each of the provinces of Canada other than Québec in connection with an initial public offering of its common shares. The offering is to be made through a syndicate of underwriters co-led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada), Inc. and Peters & Co. Limited. The number of common shares offered and the offering price of the common shares will be dependent on market conditions.
