The Halifax Group appoints Johnson as partner

Before joining Halifax, Johnson was senior vice president of corporate development, strategy and investor relations at EnPro Industries Inc.

Washington-D.C.-based The Halifax Group, a lower-middle market-focused private equity firm, has named Jerry L. Johnson as partner.

Previously, Johnson was an operating executive at Halifax. In his new role, Johnson moves from an advisory role to providing leadership in sourcing, evaluating and executing investments and supporting portfolio companies.

Before joining Halifax, Johnson was senior vice president of corporate development, strategy and investor relations at EnPro Industries Inc. Prior to joining EnPro, he was a founding member and partner of RLJ Equity Partners, where he sourced and executed business services investments. His career also includes experience as a merchant banker with Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Johnson has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
