Builders VC Fund marches toward $200 mln target


Early-stage venture firm Builders, which has offices in San Francisco and Chicago, has raised more than $115.5 million from 36 investors toward its $200 million targeted inaugural fund, according to a regulatory filing. The Builders VC Fund was launched in late 2016 by Paul Lee, who was formerly with Lightbank, and Jim Kim, who previously was with Formation 8. Separately, Builders raised $10 million from three investors for Builders VC Entrepreneurs Fund I, according to a regulatory document.
