When it comes to co-investing, limited partners in Europe might want to get a bit more proactive in seeking out opportunities.
OYO Sports, a fan engagement company, has raised $3 million in seed funding from several angel investors along with seed investors Boston Seed Capital and Atlas Ventures. OYO Sports has raised $4.6 million in total seed funding.
RLJ Equity Partners has acquired EnviroVac Holdings, which provides industrial cleaning, environmental services and on-site maintenance support. RLJ Equity Partners was joined in the acquisition by Madison Capital Funding, New Canaan Funding and RLJ Credit.
Genesis Inventions LP and McHale Labs LLC have led a $29 million Series D funding round in TrackingPoint, which created a firearm tracking system giving shooters the ability to track and hit moving targets at long range. Other participants in the funding round include Austin Ventures, Goff Capital Inc. and several super angels.
Glympse, a location sharing technology company, has raised an additional $12 million in Series C financing, with participation from new investors UMC Capital, Verizon Ventures and additional unnamed strategic investors. Existing investors Ignition Partners, Menlo Ventures and Naya Ventures also participated in the funding round. The investment brings total capital raised to about $20 million.
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has hired John Ballbach, former president, chief executive officer and chairman of VWR International, as an operating advisor. Ballbach will take on the role of chairman at Solenis once CD&R completes the acquisition of that business, expected in the third quarter.
