Three partners from Oak Investment Partners have held a first close on more than $400 million for a new fund called Oak HC/FT Partners, according to three people with knowledge of the fundraising.
Mosaik Partners has led a $1.8 million Series A funding in TFG Card Solutions, which provides paperless payroll card services. TFG will work to double its sales volume and grow market share.

Anderson will be responsible for leading investment research and project due diligence. Anderson has more than 30 years of experience in the power, energy and infrastructure sectors, most recently at two companies, Enerkem and agri.capital. Anderson also has worked at GE Capital as a managing director in structured finance group.
Dowling Capital Partners' and insurance provider The Capacity Group's joint venture, Insurance Distribution Investing Group, has agreed to acquire a stake in Risk Transfer, an insurance program manager specializing in difficult-to-place risks. The deal also includes IDIG's patent-pending technology company RiskMD LLC and RiskAware LLC, the company's loss control and claim advocacy unit.
New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer recently hired Scott Evans, a 27-year veteran of the Teachers Insurance and Annuity of America-College Retirement Equities Fund as chief investment officer at an annual salary of $224,000. While a nice salary relatively speaking (relative to say, a journalist's salary), the compensation is not competitive compared to the private financial sector.
Khosla Ventures is back in the market targeting about $1 billion for its Fund V, according to three limited partners with knowledge of the fundraising.
