Scottsdale, Az.-based DPG Investments and its affliates provided $2.25 million as part of a $2.5 million equity round raised by KAJ Hospitality, a South Dakota outfit focused on hospitality management and investments. KAJ will use the capital to acquire a Wichita, Kansas-based Holiday Inn Express.
EMCOR Group of Norwalk, Conn., has entered into an agreement to acquire RepconStrickland, which offers turnaround and specialty services to the North American refinery and petrochemical markets. EMCOR, a mechanical and electrical construction services company, is buying RepconStrickland for $455 million in cash; the money will largely go to RepconStrickland's majority shareholder, which is an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, the energy-focused private equity fund.
Campbell Soup Company, based in Camden, New Jersey, is acquiring Kelsen Group A/S. The company, based in Nørre Snede, Denmark, makes baked snacks, including sweet biscuits, that are sold in 85 countries.
