BNY Mellon- Alcentra Mezzanine Partners said on Friday that it hired Karin Kovacic as a vice president. In this position, Kovacic will focus on business development and initiatives across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Based in New York City, BNY-Mellon Alcentra Mezzanine Partners is a provider of senior debt and equity capital.

JPMorgan Chase said on Friday that One Equity Partners, the firm’s private equity arm, will raise their next fund from an external group of limited partners and become independent from JPMorgan Chase. One Equity Partners currently manages approximately $4.5 billion of investments for JPMorgan Chase in direct private equity transactions. According to the company, OEP will still oversee the existing group of portfolio companies for JPMorgan Chase.

Oklahoma City-based AGC Aerospace & Defense, a supplier of technology and services for commercial and military programs, said on Friday that Robert J. Khoury has joined its Composites & Aerostructures' board of directors. Owed by both The Edgewater Funds and Acorn Growth Companies, AGC Composites & Aerostructures is a producer of aircraft components.

Channel Technologies Group, a portfolio company of Blue Wolf Capital Partners, said on Friday that it has named Ralph L. Phillips as CEO. Phillips, who most recently served as president of Smiths Interconnect, succeeds Kevin Ruelas, who is leaving CTG to pursue new opportunities. Based in Santa Barbara, Calif., CTG is a producer of technology for the defense and energy sectors.

Madrona Venture Group, a Seattle-based early-stage venture capital firm, said on Thursday that it has promoted Julie Sandler to principal. Prior to joining Madrona, Sandler was a senior product manager at Amazon.

Market Street Advisors said on Thursday that it has hired Ron Rawdon as senior vice president and director of new business development. Prior to joining Market Street Advisors, Rawdon worked at CheckFree APL. Headquartered in Edison, NJ, Market Street Advisors is a technology and services provider for the investment management industry.

RingCentral, a provider of cloud communications solutions, said on Thursday that it has named David Berman as president. Prior to joining RingCentral, Berman served as president and CEO of Affectiva. Headquartered in San Mateo, Calif., RingCentral is backed by Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, Cisco, Scale Ventures and DAG Ventures.

Fifth Street Finance Corp. said on Thursday that it has closed its $114 million acquisition of Healthcare Finance Group, LLC. Also, Dan Chapa, who previously served as HFG's president replaces HFG's former CEO and founding member, Isaac Soleimani. For the transaction, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and UBS Investment Bank acted as financial advisors to HFG while Greenhill & Co. acted as financial advisor to Fifth Street. HFG is a specialty lender providing asset-based lending and term loan products to the healthcare industry.

GAMCO Investors said it has hired Kevin V. Dreyer and Christopher J. Marangi to join investment team of its subsidiary, the Gabelli Equity Trust, effective July 1, 2013. Also, Zahid Siddique, who is currently associate portfolio manager at Gabelli Equity Trust, will be moving to Dubai, where he will launch his own firm. Based in Rye, NY, the Gabelli Equity Trust is an investment company.

Riverstone Holdings LLC, a private investment firm, said on Thursday that James T. Hackett has joined the firm as a partner. He will also co-head its Houston office. Prior to joining Riverstone, Hackett was CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Company.
